The Parents and Citizen’s Association (“P&C”) is an integral part of Gladesville Public School. The P & C successfully supports and enriches the quality education of our children through:
- The provision of significant funding for additional teaching resources
- Additions and improvements to school facilities
- Participation in school decision making processes
- Organising social gatherings and events
- Supporting the needs of parents and carers
Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month, at 7.30pm in the school staffroom.
These meetings provide an excellent opportunity for parents to hear the Principal and Assistant Principal speak about school and educational issues, and be updated on curricular and co-curricular activities in which the students participate.
Parents are also encouraged to raise and discuss topics, offer new ideas and/or make enquiries about issues relating to our school and the community.
The P & C also coordinates and manages the following:
Uniform Shop – stocks Gladesville Public School uniforms and accessories at reasonable prices. This is a significant source of income for the P & C so we appreciate your support.
Grounds Committee – assists in the maintenance and beautification of the school grounds by activities such as working bees and line-marking of fields, etc
Events/Fundraising Committee – organises social and fundraising events which foster social relationships, and a sense of community among families and raises funds to provide extra equipment and facilities for the school.
Music Committee – assists the school by coordinating music lessons, instrument hire and running the band.
These activities are only possible with the continued support of Parents and Community members.
